It's in a very quiet hamlet which is a cul-de-sac, so there is no passing traffic, so it's very safe for children and pets outside.
There is also plenty of parking immediately outside the property (unlike many village/town houses!)
However, if a garden/outdoor area is required, a small area (approx 100m2) of land is available adjacent to the house,that can just be used, or rented at a nominal rent long-term/permanently if a formal contract is required, very cheaply, just across the lane in line with the house boundaries (like all the neighbours gardens). The most emblematic monument of Cártama is undoubtedly the Chapel of Our Lady of Remedios, located in the Cerro de la Virgen. It was built in the seventeenth century on another original fifteenth century, whose age is also the image of the Virgen de los Remedios, patron saint of the town.
This chapel is a single nave covered with a barrel vault, and its highlight is the hexagonal Dressing Room, with 6 cloths and vault decoration with paintings of birds and flowers on pedestals and pilasters.
In it, the image of the Virgin appears in an artistic silver shrine. Its beauty is unique, both outside and inside, the walls are adorned with mementos left by the faithful who come to visit.
The road to the Hermitage, always rising, is winding, and is a true natural viewpoint from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Guadalhorce Valley. In addition, a new access from the rear of the mount of Ermita called Trascastillo, part of the hiking trail "Sierra de los Espartales".
In 2004 the whole was declared of Cultural Interest by the Junta de Andalucía.
While the sprawling white town of Cártama undoubtedly impresses the visitor now, with its ruined hilltop fortress, how much more impressive it must have been in its Roman heyday, with a formidable castle protecting both the town and the river valley - Cartama stands at the head of the Rio Guadalhorce. A spectacular restored iron bridge spanning the river, known as the Puente Verde or Puente de Hierro (Green or Iron Bridge), connects the main town with Estacion de Cartama. The town is just a short drive from the Costa del Sol.
